Missing My Outlet

It has been a very bittersweet couple of months. I quit my job, for a new job opportunity that didn’t end up working out. I then went unemployed for a few weeks searching for a new job tirelessly. I got a new job that wasn’t quite what I was looking for but it has been a great opportunity and much better than the last “new job”. It’s such a new schedule and much longer days. I’ve really had to adjust a lot that I was used to doing.

Through all of this, one thing I have thoroughly missed has been my blog. It was such an outlet for me and I can really notice the difference between being able to get my opinions and feelings off my chest in such an open way.

It’s funny that we go through different phases of our life and one minute we have time for a lot of things and the next we barely have time to sit down.

Well come on LIFE I’m ready for you!!!

Balance

As you may have noticed, it has been a while since I have made any posts. Well, I have started a new job and I’m working crazy hours. It has been quite the ride. I’ve learned so much and still have so much to go. I’ve been running on little to no sleep and have had no time for any extras.

I know many people can relate. So how do we overcome this exhaustion? How do we balance personal and work life? How do we prevent that burnout we get when we have taken on too much?

Highs and Lows

Sometimes you need to be at your lowest point to be brought back up to your higher success.

I have found myself being tested by this. It has recently seemed like little, crazy, bad things have been happening to me. Not life-changing events, but the mood changing kind that leaves you in a temporary “funk”.

I go through these moods often which sounds very discouraging, but there is always a light at the end of these tunnels. Something great ends up happening, and it seems like all those crazy, bad things that happened prior aren’t relevant anymore.

These highs and lows are necessary. In order to see and appreciate the good things, you sometimes have to face and feel the bad.

Chin up, and anticipate those great things coming your way!!!

Needing a Sign

I think we all rely too often on the phrase, “JUST GIVE ME A SIGN”!!!

How many of us receive those signs and have no idea what they mean, or even realize that they are signs?

I sometimes try to create my own signs. I reflect deeply on something that has happened or how I feel towards a person and then decide what that feeling means to me.

“Needing a sign” I believe comes from within. It’s not just a want, it’s an internal need in a slightly desperate emotional state. Deep reflection may possibly be the “sign” we need.

Try to find your own “sign” and reflect on it. What does this “sign” mean for you?

Start Over

Sometimes I feel like I’ve hit the end of my current path. Should I choose a new one? Should I stay on my current path and wait for a change?

Have you ever been stuck in that 50/50 and you don’t know what to choose? The new paths aren’t visual yet because they haven’t been taken. You have no idea what is to come on this new path.

The path you are on is somewhat clear. You know what’s happening and possibly what can or will happen.

If you don’t like your current path, what keeps us on it? What prevents us from just starting over?
